Nice to meet you! My name is Maximilian Brehm.
I currently work as a Product Manager at EIDU, developing an ambitious ed-tech solution for schools in Africa. I also work as a Freelance Product Manager and Product Designer from time to time.
As stated above, I build products that empower people. Moreover, I have a strong urge to do good in the world, reducing global suffering and increasing global happiness. It's obvious to me that if we all considered and cared a tiny bit more about others, the world would be a much better place. I want to do my best and be a good example to others.
I got a MSc. in Computer Science from the HPI. At the HPI, I fell in love with human-computer interaction and human-centered design after having a more technical focus initially. I wrote my thesis on Virtual Reality at the HCI department which eventually got published at CHI, the most prestigious HCI conference. At the HPI, I also joined an intensive Design Thinking class learning how to build products that matter. Although research is not my personal focus, I have co-authored 5 academic paper.
